Butterfly

An ugly wiggly earth bound thing
Searches for green life
And
Gorges itself
In preparation for change
As the chrysalis forms

Impermeable

A miracle begins

A different spirit
Emerges
From murky skin

Revealing

Beauty once hidden by
Unrealized transformation

This new creature
with wings
Flying
In spite
Or maybe because of
It’s beginnings

A magnificent unprecedented being
Looking out on a world of possibilities
From above.

Wow. I like the way you think. Keep it up!

Too bad you are in the South, were you closer to the Midwest I'd be hitting you up for your phonenumber.

God I love butterflies!

I don't think that I have read the whole thing before. I just recall you having the first line.

That poem is very you.
